We are delighted to host the annual Radiance workshop! The Radiance Workshop is the annual meeting of the Radiance software community, alternating between Europe and North America. This year’s event will take place in Seattle, Washington, USA.
The workshop brings together researchers, practitioners, and educators engaged in daylighting, rendering, and lighting simulation to present and critically discuss Radiance-related research and applications. Contributions are welcome from participants at all levels of experience with Radiance. Presenters benefit from engagement with leading experts in the field, insights from software developers, researchers, and practitioners, constructive peer review, and a reduced registration fee. Call for SpeakersFollowing the typical format, two days will be the Radiance Workshop (seminars) and one day is the Tutorial Day. We invite contributions to the Radiance Workshop. Submissions on any Radiance-related topic and HDR imaging are welcome. If you would like to present your work, please submit a title and a short abstract (maximum 250 words) to the following email address by June 15, 2026 (early submissions are highly appreciated): inanici@uw.edu. You can take the light rail from SeaTac airport. The hotel is 300 feet (2 minute) walk from the U-District station.
If you are coming from somewhere else, Gould Hall is a 15-minute walk from the University of Washington light rail station.
Beyond the Conference:
August and September are great times to visit Pacific Northwest! Olympic National Park, San Juan Islands, and Mount Rainer National Park are some of the wonderful vacation options in the area. Seattle has many attractions for visitors, including the Space Needle, Chihuly Glass Museum, Pike Place Market, and Art Museums. A short ferry trip to the Bainbridge island would give you great views of Seattle skyline and Mount Rainer on a clear day (as locals say, “when the mountain is out”).
